Project Description:
WRECO was involved in two projects for the Transbay Transit Center (TTC) in the City of San Francisco, California.

Bus Storage Facility Storm Water Data Report Project
The proposed Bus Storage Facility (BSF) is an integral part of the TTC project. This project proposes to construct a BSF under the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge West Approach Viaduct, Interstate 80 between 2nd and 3rd streets and between Perry and Stillman streets in the South-of-Market area of Downtown San Francisco. The BSF will include an at-grade bus parking lot with aesthetic sound walls, mobile buildings (trailers) for office, storage and restroom facilities, public parking area, employee parking area, and a bus link ramp to connect the BSF to the TTC through the permanent bus ramp.

For this project, WRECO was responsible for preparing the Project Study Report-level Storm Water Data Report (SWDR). The SWDR detailed the suggested temporary and permanent stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs) in compliance with current local, Caltrans and statewide standards.

TTC Stormwater Pollution Control/Compliance Plan
The TTC project discharges to the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) combined wastewater and stormwater system and is therefore not subject to coverage under the California Construction General Stormwater Permit (Order 2009-0009-DWG), that became effective on July 1, 2010. However, the construction site must implement BMPs to prevent pollutant discharge into the combined sewer system to comply with the San Francisco municipal ordinances and codes. For the project, WRECO prepared the Construction Stormwater Pollution Control/Compliance Plan to provide a delegation strategy along with BMP categories for compliance with stormwater regulations covering construction activities at the project.

Key Tasks:
