Project Description:
The Stage Gulch Road State Route 116 Curve Correction and Realignment Project will widen State Route 116, a two-lane road in Sonoma County, and realign and flatten all non-standard horizontal curves to provide sufficient sight distance.

The project is adjacent to Champlin Creek and includes work in and near environmentally sensitive areas. Consequently, the project effort includes extensive coordination with resources agencies, and the project design includes numerous features to avoid impacts or mitigate for impacts where they are unavoidable.

WRECO is working with Caltrans District 4 to design certain avoidance and mitigation features in the roadway project, design and preparation of construction plans for a follow-on mitigation project and geomorphic monitoring.
